This is what I did instead ...

... of starting a New project for New Start Sunday.....

I went out for an indulgence day with my DS2 and a girlfriend at the Peninsula Hot Springs in Mornington.  First we had a relaxing massage and then a bathe in the thermal waters.

.... and then the most indulgent and delicious lunch at Port Phillip Winery

The winery is about eight years old and is a bit of as surprise - this is what you see when you drive up and park....

but then you walk through the big wooden doors (which magically open as you approach) and then you step through and see this.....

.... and had the most delicious lunch....

Quail:

Cured Sea Bream:

Risotto Verde with Escargot (my entree):

Duck with a duck sausage roll and rhubarb (my main):

A side of beans with beetroot to share:

Smoked Humpty Doo Barramundi:

Fire roasted Dory:

Creme Brulee with gingerbread and spiced ice cream (my dessert):

Fragrant Rice Pudding:

Green Apple mousse:

Of course, this was all washed down by a bottle or two of Port Phillip Sauvignon Blanc and finished with a latte.

It was a wonderful day - relaxing, fun, good food, a wonderful view and full of interesting conversation - but it was a long day (left home at 8am and didn't get back until after 5pm) so not feeling up to starting something new - I will have to wait until next Sunday now but that is okay - this is a relaxed Sunday SAL blog and I certainly had a relaxing Sunday!

What did you get up to this Sunday?

hugs,

P.S. I am having ANOTHER Girl's Nest Giveaway (#6) on my main blog, Kitten Stitching, click on the pic below if you would like to enter.  Closes May 31st.

That looks like one relaxing Sunday, Kaye! Such beautiful surroundings and the gorgeous presentation of the food dishes makes them look almost too good to eat (almost!).

Going through these wooden doors must feel like entering a fairy tale. What a Sunday with wonderful views and food. Even slightly better than starting a new project, lol.
What a lovely day you had! So relaxing and such beauty around you! xx
